Flash flooding causes mayhem for motorists
Motorists are being warned to take extra care on the roads this evening with flash flooding in many areas.
In Dublin the Malahide Road is impassable, while the N3 between Phibsboro and the Navan Road are also particularly bad.
In Laois, a river has burst its banks along the Ballyroan to Portlaoise Road at Cashel Cross - only one lane is open to traffic and motorists are being warned to avoid the area.
There is also flooding in Celbridge in Kildare with many roads impassable.
