Army bomb disposal experts made safe a suspicious device found at Dunsink Lane, Finglas last night.

The team arrived on scene at 12.45 am, following a garda request to attend.

The improvised explosive device did contain explosive content. No controlled explosion was carried out, but the device was made safe as it was ready for immediate use.

The bomb disposal officer gave the all clear at 1.55 am. The remains of the device were handed over to gardaí for investigation into this incident.
