Reynolds 'medically unfit' to give evidence at tribunal

Albert Reynolds has been declared medically unfit to give evidence at the Mahon Tribunal.

The former Taoiseach had been due to answer questions about his dealings with Cork property developer Owen O'Callaghan, who has been giving evidence for several weeks now.

However, a number of doctors have agreed that Mr Reynolds is unfit to take the stand.

The Mahon Tribunal finishes sittings for the summer today before resuming on September 15, when former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern is due back in the witness stand.
