The trial of a former Christian Brother for allegedly sexually assaulting young boys some 40 years ago in Galway has continued legal discussion in the absence of the jury.

The trial of a former Christian Brother for allegedly sexually assaulting young boys some 40 years ago in Galway has continued legal discussion in the absence of the jury.

The 72-year-old accused has pleaded not guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to 35 counts of indecently assaulting six boys between 1967 and 1973 when they were residents at the school.

The trial will continue tomorrow before Judge Tony Hunt with a jury of five men and five women.
