Gardaí recover car hijacked by Cork raiders

Gardaí have recovered a car hijacked by two armed bank raiders following a robbery in west Cork on Monday morning.

The masked gunmen forced the owner of the car to hand over the keys after they crashed their own getaway vehicle.

The men had earlier robbed the Bank of Ireland branch on Market Street in Skibbereen.

The lilac Citroen Xsara was found by a farmer on his land near Skibbereen yesterday evening.
