The IMPACT trade union says the HSE has informed health service unions that it is planning to cut spending by €500m this year

The union says it was told last night that the HSE needs to cover a €300m budget shortfall brought about by an increased demand for medical cards, as well as a shortfall of €72m in HSE targets.
