Four teens rescued by lifeboat

Four teenagers have been rescued in Co Cork after the break-down of their boat engine.

The youths' punt ran into difficulties one mile north of Ballycotton when their outboard motor stopped working yesterday afternoon.

When they were unable to return to shore, they alerted the Coast Guard by mobile phone and the Ballycotton RNLI lifeboat was tasked.

The teenagers were quickly located by the Austin Lidbury lifeboat and returned safely to Ballycotton pier.
