Fire-fighters attacked with stones in west Belfast

Police in the North have arrested one person in connection with an attack on a fire crew in west Belfast this morning.

The crew was pelted with stones while attending a blaze at a vacant house in the Lower Falls area at around 5.30am.

The windscreen of a fire vehicle was smashed during the incident and the crew was also threatened.

The incident is the latest in a spate of attacks on fire-fighters in the North.
