Govt plans €300m cut in capital spending next year

The Government is reportedly planning to cut planned capital spending by €300m next year in an effort to tackle the serious deterioration in the public finances.

Reports this morning say the cutbacks will be introduced as part of a plan to save €1bn from the budget for 2009.
