Harney warns hospitals to operate within budgets

Health Minister Mary Harney has warned hospitals that they need to live within their budgets and must do so without impacting on patients.

Speaking in Dublin today, Ms Harney said the manner in which Irish hospitals are currently run is neither effective nor efficient.
