Unemployment figures due out today

Today’s unemployment figures will exert more pressure on the Government as it hammers out proposals to steer the economy through the looming recession.

June’s Live Register data will give Finance Minister Brian Lenihan another headache as he prepares to bring a rescue package of measures to Cabinet on Tuesday.
