Two men were being questioned today after Customs seized 83kgs of cannabis resin – the second time this week their sniffer dog has found drugs at Rosslare Europort.

The haul was found in the back of a van after coming off a ferry from Roscoff in France.

The cannabis was detected by sniffer dog Dillon during routine risk-profiling - the dog’s second success this week at the port.

Officers from Revenue’s Customs service said the cannabis had a street value of €584,500.

The two Irish men were arrested and taken to Wexford garda station for questioning.
