Education body criticises 'inadequate' grant system

The Higher Education Authority is reportedly criticising the income thresholds for third-level maintenance grants.

Reports this morning say the authority believes the current thresholds are "inadequate" and are preventing tens of thousands of children from lower-middle class families from going to college and university.
