Govt pleas to end torture

The Government today condemned torture as one of the worst violations of human rights.

Marking UN International Day in Support of Victims of Torture, Foreign Affairs Minister Micheál Martin also called for an end to other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.
