Electricians to hold strike ballot in row over pay rise

Around 10,000 electricians around the country are due to hold a ballot for strike action as part of a row over a 5% pay increase.

The increase is due to under an agreement negotiated at the Labour Court between the main employers of electricians and the Technical, Engineering and Electrical Union.
