The amount of electricity used by the average Irish person in a household setting increased by 62% between 1990 and 2006, according to a report by Sustainable Energy Ireland.

The amount of electricity used by the average Irish person in a household setting increased by 62% between 1990 and 2006, according to a report by Sustainable Energy Ireland.

The organisation says the increase can be explained by a decrease in the average household size, as well as the use of bigger electrical appliances.
