Four men due in court in connection with high speed chase in Louth

Four men are due to appear before a special sitting of Drogheda District Court charged in connection with serious crime in Co Louth.

The four, aged between 23 and 29, were arrested following a high speed car chase in the county on Thursday night.

Gardaí gave chase when a car carrying the four men failed to stop at a check-point in Ardee.

The chase continued for twenty miles, and several vehicles were rammed.

The air support unit was called in, and the car was eventually stopped in the village of Annagassan.
