Cork FF TD arrested on suspicion of drink-driving

Fianna Fáil has confirmed that one of its backbench TDs was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving over the weekend.

Cork South West TD Christy O'Sullivan was stopped at a checkpoint in his home town of Clonakilty at around 9pm on Sunday night.

The 59-year-old was breathalysed and subsequently arrested by Gardaí.

A spokesperson says Fianna Fáil is awaiting due legal process before commenting further on the matter.
