Three people have been arrested as part of an ongoing operation targeting crime in the south east.

Three people have been arrested as part of an ongoing operation targeting crime in the south east.

Detectives from Tipperary and Waterford, helped by gardaí in Limerick, were involved in the operation, which is focusing on burglaries and car thefts.

A teenage boy aged 17 and a man and woman, both aged 23, were arrested in Rossbrien in Limerick.

The teenager was taken for questioning to Cahir garda station, while the two others were being detained at Nenagh garda station.

All three were being questioned under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, and can be detained for up to two days.
