Coughlan meets retailers to discuss 'rip-off' prices
The Tánaiste and Enterprise Minister, Mary Coughlan, is meeting representatives of Retail Ireland today to discuss the latest outcry over the 'rip-off' of Irish consumers.
The meeting follows revelations that several British stores in Ireland have failed to reduce their prices to reflect the strength of the euro against sterling.
This means such stores are charging significantly less for the same products in British outlets.
Ms Coughlan presented a report on the matter to the cabinet yesterday.
