Man hospitalised after stabbing in Carlow

A man has been hospitalised following a stabbing in Carlow town this morning.

Gardaí say the incident happened just before 9am in a housing estate in the town.

The victim, who is in his 50s, was found by a neighbour after being stabbed a number of times.

He was rushed to St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny, where he is said to be in a serious condition.
