Menopause study to be released

The largest ever study on awareness, attitudes and experiences of the menopause in Ireland is to be published today.

The largest ever study on awareness, attitudes and experiences of the menopause in Ireland is to be published today.

Researchers carried out four separate studies including surveys of public opinion, its effects on women and the information and services available to women.

Commissioned by the Women’s Health Council it also reports on medical treatments available including Hormone Replacement Therapy and alternative remedies.

Health Minister Mary Harney, will launch the study, The Menopause And Me, at the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.
