Minister launches food week
Food Minister Trevor Sargent will launch Trinity College Dublin’s first food week today.
The university’s young Green Party will co-host the inaugural event which will include an organic food market on Wednesday and Thursday in Trinity’s front square.
Mr Sargent will today deliver a lecture on GMOs, food security and climate change.
Darina Allen will guest author the menu for the students’ restaurant throughout the week.
A series of other events, including Passover food tasting by the Jewish society, will also take place.
