Rail services back to normal after major signal fault

Rail services on the Dublin to Sligo line are back to normal today following a signal failure that caused major disruption yesterday.

Iarnród Éireann says engineers have repaired the problem at Porterstown in west Dublin, which caused long delays and the cancellation of a number of commuter services.

Trains to and from Maynooth were worst affected, but the company says all services on the line will operate as normal today.
