Dispute disrupts postal deliveries in south Dublin
A dispute over new work practices has disrupted postal deliveries in several affluent areas of south Dublin today.
An Post says serious delays are being experienced due to a dispute with local staff at offices in Blackrock and Dublin 4.
The company is blaming the situation on a small number of staff who are refusing to co-operate with new working arrangements agreed with the Communications Workers Union.
It is urging customers not to post any mail to Blackrock, Stillorgan, Booterstown, Mount Merrion and Deansgrange, as well as addresses in the Dublin 4 postal district.
An Post says it is working with union representatives to resolve the row.
