Body discovered in Offaly

An investigation is underway in Offaly after the discovery of a body.

The body was found in Ferbane at 8am this morning.

Gardaí have preserved the scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.

The body has been removed to the Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore where a post mortem will be carried out on Monday.
