Teenager still in custody after Limerick gun attack

Gardaí in Limerick are continuing to question a young man in connection with a shooting in the O'Malley Park area at the weekend.

The teenager was detained on Saturday night following an attempted gun attack on a 27-year-old man earlier in the day.

The victim escaped unharmed after a masked gunman fired a shot at him in his home.

The shooting is believed to be linked to the long-running feud between rival criminal gangs in Limerick, which has claimed two lives in the past few days.
