Limerick family pulled from burning house
Gardaí in Limerick are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fire at a house in the St Mary's Park area of the city.
A camper van, which was parked outside the home, caught fire and spread to the house.
Four people including two young children were rescued shortly after 5.30am this morning.
Gardaí, who were on patrol in the area at the time, spotted the blaze and entered the house where two children, aged 2 and 4, their mother and an 80-year-old woman were sleeping.
The Gardaí helped the occupants to safety and no one was injured.
All four were assessed at the scene by medics.
The scene has been preserved pending a technical examination.
