Two people have been hospitalised following a fire at an apartment complex for homeless people in Dublin last night.

Two people have been hospitalised following a fire at an apartment complex for homeless people in Dublin last night.

The blaze broke out at the building on Halston St in the north inner city at around 10pm.

A man and a woman who were inside at the time were taken to the Mater Hospital, where their condition is described as stable this morning.

Gardaí say the cause of the blaze is under investigation.

The complex where it happened is operated by Focus Ireland.
