Removals of Kerry murder victims take place tonight

The removals of the father and son shot dead in Co Kerry last week are due to take place in Listowel this evening.

Sixty-year-old Michael Hanrahan and his 27-year-old son Denis were found shot dead at their home in the nearby village of Moyvane on Thursday morning.

They are due to be laid to rest tomorrow following funeral mass at the Church of the Assumption.

Last night, a 30-year-old man was charged with the murders of the two men during a special court sitting in Listowel.

Thomas Barrett, of Cleandries, Causeway, Co Kerry, was remanded in custody to reappear in court again tomorrow.
