Figures show rise in household broadband connections

The number of Irish homes with broadband Internet connections has increased substantially in recent years, according to figures published by the CSO today.

The statistics agency says 31% of homes had a broadband connection in the first quarter of last year, compared to just 13% in the first quarter of 2006.
