A 30-year-old man is expected to appear before a court in Co Kerry this morning in connection with last week's double murder in Moyvane.

Sixty-year-old Michael Hanrahan and his 27-year-old son Denis were found shot dead in their home near the village on Thursday morning.

A man was arrested in Tralee on Saturday evening in connection with the killings.

Meanwhile, gardaí are continuing to conduct ballistic tests on a firearm recovered in the Causeway area over the weekend.

Reports this morning say separate tests have concluded that the legally held shotgun recovered from the Hanrahan home was not the one used in the murders.
