Man fights for life after Kerry assault

A man is fighting for his life in hospital following an incident in Co Kerry overnight.

The 42-year-old was found with serious head injuries at a hostel in Tralee at around 1am today.

He was rushed to Kerry General Hospital, where he is now in a critical condition.

Gardaí are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
