Down church fire not believed to be sectarian

Arsonists set a Catholic church on fire in the North today.

The altar, foyer and vestry storage room at St Joseph’s in Chapel Street, Killough, Co Down, suffered minor scorch damage in the midday attack.

Police are questioning a 27-year-old man. The incident is not believed to be sectarian.
