Three men airlifted to safety off Co Clare coast
Three men have been airlifted to safety after getting into difficulty off the Co Clare coast earlier today.
It is understood that the men, who were trapped by rising tides, managed to make their way to a ridge off Mutton Island.
The Coast Guard helicopter rescued them and they were brought back to the mainland at Quilty.
A spokesman for the Coast Guard said the men didn't require any medical assistance.
