Holiday pensioner missing in Belfast

A Scottish pensioner has gone missing in Belfast while on a short holiday, it was revealed tonight.

John “Jackie” Matthew, 68, from Dundee arrived in the city with a friend on Saturday and disappeared in the early hours of Sunday morning while on a night out, said police.

He was seen in Glengall Street on Tuesday March 18 but not since.

Police said they were getting increasingly concerned about his safety.

The man is described as being 5ft 6in in height, with short grey and black hair and swarthy complexion.

He was wearing a heavy dark coat, stonewashed jeans and black shoes.
