Garda Inspectorate rejects criticism from AGSI

A leading member of the Garda Inspectorate has rejected claims that its membership is out of touch with Irish policing practice.

Yesterday, the annual conference of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors heard that the inspectorate's membership was made up of people from countries where armed police is the norm.
