Court convicts priest over tax evasion

A Cork priest was convicted and fined over €6,000 on 10 tax charges at Cork District Court today in a case where he had to pay the Revenue Commissioners over €200,000.

A Cork priest was convicted and fined over €6,000 on 10 tax charges at Cork District Court today in a case where he had to pay the Revenue Commissioners over €200,000.

The fines were imposed on Fr Tadgh O’Donovan, aged 46, curate at Whitechurch, Blarney, Co Cork, and formerly of Araglen, Kilworth, Co Cork.
