Car hijacked in Belfast with baby in back seat

Police in Belfast are hunting for hijackers who stole a car in the city last night while a baby was in the back seat.

The car was taken in the Mays Meadow area at around 9pm and was later found in the Short Strand with the 19-month-old child still inside.

The PSNI believes it may have been stolen by people involved in a disturbance linked with St Patrick's Day festivities.

Two people were arrested following clashes involving around 30 youths close to a free open-air concert.
