A woman in her 80s has died following a fire at her house in Co Clare yesterday evening.

A woman in her 80s has died following a fire at her house in Co Clare yesterday evening.

The blaze happened near the village of O'Callaghan's Mills shortly after 6.30pm.

A technical examination is taking place today in an effort to determine the cause of the fire.
