Efforts are due to get underway today to identify a body discovered in a submerged car off Rossaveal Pier in Co Galway yesterday.

Efforts are due to get underway today to identify a body discovered in a submerged car off Rossaveal Pier in Co Galway yesterday.

The discovery was made by gardaí searching for missing Dublin schoolteacher Rosanne Kenny.

The 42-year-old, from Kilmacud, disappeared on New Year's Eve while on holidays in Connemara with her husband and brother.

The body found yesterday has been taken to University College Hospital in Galway for tests to determine if it is that of Ms Kenny.
