Teenager injured in Limerick city stabbing

A teenager has been stabbed in Limerick City this afternoon.

The 16-year-old was stabbed three times in the back after being attacked in Whitecross Gardens in Moyross just before 2pm.

He is being treated at the Mid-Western Regional Hospital where his injuries are said to be serious, but not life-threatening.

Nobody has been arrested.

Gardaí at Mayorstone are investigating and are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
