A man has been killed in a road accident in Co Galway last night.

A man has been killed in a road accident in Co Galway last night.

The 81-year-old pedestrian was hit by a van on the Creggs road in Glenamaddy shortly before 10pm.

He was brought to Roscommon Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Gardaí at Tuam are investigating.
