Man arrested after Drogheda drugs factory discovered
Gardaí in Co Louth have arrested a man in his mid-30s following a drugs seizure at a disused premises in Drogheda yesterday evening.
A cannabis growing factory and evidence of a cocaine mixing operation were uncovered in the planned raid on the Termonfeckin road at 6.30pm.
Gardaí uncovered large quantities of cannabis plants and ecstasy tablets.
Cocaine and cannabis resin were also recovered.
The man is being detained at Drogheda garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act and can be held for up to 24 hours before being either charged or released.
Gardaí said that it was too early to put an accurate street value on the seizure.
