Aer Lingus invites SIPTU to new talks on cost cuts

Aer Lingus has invited SIPTU to last minute talks on the airline's cost-cutting plans after the union decided to hold a new ballot for strike action.

The ballot was arranged after Aer Lingus threatened to unilaterally implement the plan on Monday and to sack anyone who failed to co-operate.
