Man held after €70k cocaine raid

A 28-year-old man was arrested tonight after cocaine worth €70,000 was seized.

Gardaí swooped on an address in Churchtown, Dublin, this evening and discovered one kilogram of the drug.

It had arrived earlier by air-freight from Canada into Dublin Airport.

The seizure was as a result of a joint intelligence operation between the gardaí and customs officers.

The arrested man is being held at Rathfarnham Garda Station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.
