SIPTU shop stewards discuss reaction to Aer Lingus ultimatum
SIPTU shop stewards at Aer Lingus are meeting this afternoon to consider an action plan in the event of staff suspensions at the airline.
The company is threatening to suspend staff without pay from next week if cost cutting measures and new shift patterns are not agreed to.
Up to 1,800 staff are affected.
On her way into today's meeting, Teresa Hannick of SIPTU said the ultimatum from management has angered union members.
