Gardaí appeal for witnesses in Carlow knife-wielding robbery

Gardaí in Carlow are investigating an aggravated robbery during which two shop assistants were threatened at knife-point.

Two males wearing balaclavas entered Callaghnan's food store in Graigecullen at about 7 o'clock yesterday evening.

It's alleged that one of the robbers banged a shop assistant's head on the counter before putting a knife to her neck.

The men fled the scene with an undisclosed sum of money.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.
