Ireland is pledging €100,000 to support the current Kofi Annan led mediation efforts in Kenya, following a request from the United Nations.

Announcing the funding, Minister for Foreign Affairs Dermot Ahern said he fully supports the efforts being made by the ormer UN Secretary General to find a political resolution to the crisis.
