A man was charged today in connection with a botched arson attack on an Orange Order building in Northern Ireland.

A man was charged today in connection with a botched arson attack on an Orange Order building in Northern Ireland.

The 24-year-old was arrested by detectives investigating an attempt to set the Clounagh Hall ablaze in Portadown, Co Armagh.

He was charged with burglary, attempted arson and criminal damage at the hall on the Brownstown Road on Friday evening.

The man is expected to be brought before Lisburn Magistrates Court on Monday, according to the Police Service of Northern Ireland.
